Our lunch menu is relaxed and congenial with the emphasis on great value dishes the evening menu is more formal, the emphasis being on enjoying the evening in comfort and style...
The food is a mix of British and European . We try to source good local products and use good technique to make enjoyable meals at a reasonable price.
We serve a Sunday roast lunch which is a simple and traditional choice of roast meats, vegetarian and fish dishes.
Our wine list has been composed using the expertise of Corney and Barrow, the long established British vintners, and includes many reasonably priced wines that are exclusive to them. For private functions and special occasions with due notice we can source many special wines if requested.
We also serve a selection of home-made cordials, iced teas and coffees and limited beers (Czech Budwar, Pilsner Urquell, a locally produced cotswold larger and English ale Cats Whiskers) and a reasonable choice of good quality spirits.

Painswick is a small village with narrow streets and a limited amount of parking spaces. Directly outside of the restaurant parking is restricted to a one hour stay between 8.00am and 5.00pm. There are areas of unrestricted parking at the end of the Victoria Street and a public car park just beyond the churchyard. We will gladly refund anyones' tickets from the car park if they present them to us when paying their restaurant bill.
